adidas and Lionel Messi present the new F50 TUNiT football boot in Barcelona

Unique modularity, lightweight properties and individual style

Barcelona/Herzogenaurach, 11 February 2008 - With the support of numerous football stars, adidas today unveiled the F50 TUNiT at the Centre Conventiones International Barcelona (CCIB). Lionel Messi and other big-name stars from top European leagues built their own F50 football boots on stage from individual components. For footballers, customizing a football boot from the various individual adidas F50 TUNiT components to meet their own personal requirements now couldn’t be easier. This unique boot is the third generation of the F50 concept and features both outstanding modularity and the innovative and transparent “AllesKlar” (“All Clear”) element. Top players from all over the world will be sporting the new F50.8 TUNiT boot on the pitch from 19 February.F50 TUNiT technology Players can choose from several uppers, two different chassis, two different insoles and three stud systems.Players endorsing the F50 TUNiT include: Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona), David Villa (Valencia CF), Lukas Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger (FC Bayern Munich), Kevin Kuranyi (FC Schalke 04), Djibril Cissé and Samir Nasri (Olympique de Marseille), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham Hotspur), Ashley Young (Aston Villa), Christian Wilhelmsson (Bolton Wanderers), Johan Vonlanthen (Red Bull Salzburg), Andreas Ivanschitz (Panathinaikos), Diego Forlán (Atlético Madrid) and Luís Fabiano (Sevilla FC).
